Who, during those 1900 years, put together the Bible? Answer: a bunch of apostates who will eventually give rise to the Catholic church. Therefore, the Bible was not good spiritual food, nor was it delivered at the proper time ( during the1900 years between the early apostles and the Watchtower, somewhere between the second and the fifth century AD) -

"We Already Forgive Him" - What Does That Mean?
by cofty inthe children of one of yesterday's shooting have told the media that they have already forgiven the killer for what he did.. dylaan roof has not apologised for what he did.
he hates black people and probably regrets not killing even more.. what does it really mean to forgive?.
if the legal system asked the victims relatives what they want done next would they ask for dylaan to go free and unpunished?.

forgive, spirituality, faith and others are the kind of words that only the faithful understand. They create the kind of language that they use to feel some sort of moral superiority. -

Agree with oppostate. I have attended Hispanic congregations for 20 years and the third group (the social JW's) there is big. Even some uber JW's such as my own brother are relaxing their zeal. He no longer pursues giving biblical studies. He spends more time in the gym than he does in meetings. He supports his children with opening their own businesses and encourages, even insists in their getting higher education. But, as he once said to me, he is planning to die in this religion. I think he feels he is stuck for social reasons. Habits such as his are hard to break. -

Is it my eyes or the man forgot to shine his shoes. Their attire overall looks second hand and old. You can't help feeling very sorry for this couple. -

Even the speaker feels uncomfortable about the whole interview. Is the watchtower using robots now? Are they running out of people or do robots cost less to maintain? -

Hate: utter dishonesty, shunning policy, blood transfusions policy, pedophile protection program, higher education policy
Like: It's a good refuge that brings genuine happiness to the gullible, uneducated, old, depressed, and anyone who needs BS and fantasies to cope with reality.

How much was the alleged cost?

WT September 2015 (Public edition) - We never petition for Money
by Designer Stubble inpage 6 of the september 2015 public wt, under the heading "how is our ministry financed"our work is supported entirely by voluntary donations.
(2 corinthians 9:7) in 1879, the second issue of this magazine stated: zions watch tower [as this magazine was then called] has, we believe jehovah for its backer, and while this is the case it will never beg nor petition men for support.
we have not wavered from that policy.

The Governing Body know that the brothers and sisters never read the public edition, therefore they feel safe printing the contradiction. You won't find that comment in the Study version -

How about people who live in the area where Brie lives, have seen the video and know about the injustices committed in JC show support to this girl by going to the kingdom hall and protest. It may generate publicity that will increase the awareness of more people about the cult. Just an idea. -

Help with understanding
by Doltologist inplease take pity on me someone and help.. i was going to say that i suffer from aspergers syndrome but actually, i've come to rather enjoy it.. no, seriously, i really do have aspergers which is why my posts may seem a little odd to some of you.
ok, they may seem bloody odd to most of you.. my world exists in a binary frame.
things are or they are not.. i know that in the "real world" things might be or might not be as well as are and are not.

The diverse life on Earth, our perfect ecosystem, and our incredibly complex body and mind is more than enough proof that a Creator does exist. How? from Tenacious
Perfect ecosystem? Really?
Creator? Why not? Just not the one in the Bible, not an anthropomorphic one, not one that breaks the laws of the Universe to please the desires contained in millions of prayers around the world.
What is left is an amazing amount of energy and matter that is constantly in flux, always subject to the immutable laws of physics of the universe, not the capricious human desires. If you want to call that energy God, that's fine with me. I call it energy, because this name describes better what it is and what it does. The meaning of the word God varies wildly from human to human, even in members of the same cult.
